Bars/counter/kitchen are really important. For one thing, the often get used more than any other seating. And they are often very noticable. We’d like ours to be fun, comfortable, and not stand out too much. We’re torn between plain wood, upholstered and decopaged with pop art?

Don’t know if it’s the contrast, or the excitement, but we love the combo of white and blood red, with a touch of silver.

Sometimes it’s hard to visualize how old furniture can look modern, but it can. Vintage furniture is so beautifully made that it is a shame to toss it out and replace with something from Ikea. Instead, turn it into a statement piece.  It’s good for the environment too. Upcycle is chic. Check out what PreLovedStyle and Material Recovery on Etsy are doing.

I really like the idea of mixing with my 100 year old beautiful dining room table.

A trip to Morocco is on my adventure wish list. In the meantime, I’ll have to be satisfied with touches of Morocco in our home.
